Why Envirowool?
Envirowool® is pure, 100% natural southern New Zealand wool – a high-performing, natural and safe insulator. We’ve worked closely with other building and wool experts to ensure only the best parts of the fleece are carefully blended for optimum loft, density and thermal properties.
For us, superior results come down to two factors: the quality and unique insulation properties of the New Zealand wool we use, coupled with professional installation by qualified tradespeople. Read more
Together with our Christchurch based supplier we make sure the wool that’s selected and blended for Envirowool® is spot on for the job. We are particularly proud to not only be using pure New Zealand wool, but to be supporting Kiwi farmers and enterprise.
Envirowool® is a subsidiary of multiple award-winning BJ Carter Builders and Insulators, one of the longest-serving and established building firms in the south. We were among the pioneers of home insulation more than 30 years ago, and have been bringing literally hundreds upon hundreds of southerners warmer, drier and healthier homes and commercial buildings since.
We’re also long-time registered Master Builders, and Envirowool® is run with the same commitment to best practice, superior customer care and safety that our construction arm has focused on for the past 50-plus years.
Several years ago, we moved to blown wool for roof insulation. We were instant converts. So impressed were we with the results, in 2013, we took what we knew, researched further, and developed our own product, Envirowool®, complete with custom-designed installation and extraction machines.
Even the best product won’t perform as it should unless the installation is up to scratch. All of our jobs are thoroughly assessed from the outset, and the installation is overseen by tradespeople who have specialist knowledge in the structural dynamics of homes and buildings, as well as ensuring insulation is properly and safely installed to bring maximum benefit.
